We have today updated the downloads page with the new video for "Take Off" from the album Landing. The video is a collaboration between Githead & Ben Newman and was shot entirely on location in London.
Githead have become one of the first independant artists to have been offered an artist profile on "ping", Apple's new social media experiment within iTunes 10 (sort of like myspace without the spam as of yet).
We are sure you'll all want to "follow" us. In which case the page is HERE

As we announce our third album Landing (see above) we find that the city of Heidelberg, Germany has beaten us to to the punch with a city centre "installation" designed to get Githead fans raring to go.........or not as the case may be! Thanks to Arne Wojciechowski for documenting that one. See you in Strasbourg Arne!Meanwhile we will soon start to announce live shows for November including dates in London & Brussels.
Unfortunately the All Ages show Junction Theatre, Calgary has been cancelled. According to promoter Barnaby Bennett this was due to their "costs for the show unexpectedly quadrupling (on the Theatre's end) and the lack of a suitable replacement venue".
We will instead play a daytime show at Local 510 put together by BeatRoute Magazine dubbed the "beatroute breakfast".
There is the possibility that due to the early timing this can also an be All Ages show.
We can now announce Githead's first forsay into North America, a short Canadian tour. Dates include two in Calgary @ the Sled Island Festival. The first is an all ages show at the Junction Theatre alongside The Famines & Indiensoci. The 2nd Calgary date is at Warehouse and features alonside Githead what must udoubtedly be the line-up of the festival of - Sub-Linguals, Women, Health and Holy Fuck!!!
Colin is this year's guest curator of Calgary's Sled Island Festival. The hugely ambitious city based festival which encompasses music, film, visual arts, comedy and more will take place between 24th & 27th of June 2009 and Githead will play more than one show. The line up is expected to be announced by May 1st.
Some new videos have been added as streams from the downloads page of this site. They are from performances earlier this year at the Mains d'Oeuvre in Paris and were shot by an audience member and posted on their YouTube page.
